Semester 2 Reflection:
Looking back on this year I have shown growth in Socratic seminar's during class because I had practice of purposing my process to other classmates. Which gave me time to clearly look over my work to refine and correct my mistakes really helped my understanding of the math content being taught.
Throughout my second semester, I have found many strengths and weaknesses in my math work. Where I've found strength in mathematics is with communicating my thinking in a clear and accessible way and recognizing and resolving errors. I find myself as a clear communicator when teaching others how to correctly solve problems in a step by step process. If I find an answer wrong I work through my step by step process to resolve my errors. My weaknesses I came across this semester were generating ideas, approaching a problem in multiple different ways because once I master a certain operation it's hard for me to master other ways of solving.
My final Algebra 2 project posted below, shows a strong example of communicating the procedure and generalizing rules for solving square roots. My poster shows straight forward examples to solve square roots but does not generate multiple means of approaching the problem.

Semester 1 Reflection:
Content Skill:
Topics we have learned this semester are logarithm, properties of exponents, exponential growth and decay, distributing, factoring and others. The one topic I have mastered is common logarithm and natural logarithm, I have felt confident with this math process because we took thorough notes on the formulas and well written out equations with the process to solve it. The notes we took are what helped me in the explorations because I was able to look back at them and reconstruct the process to solve other given equations.

Problem Solving Skills: Throughout this semester, I’ve recognized myself as a reflecting and synthesizing and I communicate thinking in a clear and accessible way mathematician which consists of:
- Restate the problem in a different way that adds to our understanding.
- Translate ideas using other forms or representations - language, symbolic, visual.
- Respond to the ideas of others - ask clarifying questions, build on promising ideas.
- Solicit contributions from quieter members of the group.
- Contextualize your answer and reflect on it.
- Provide justification for an idea or process.
- Develop general rules based on specific examples.
